Wedding @ All Occasions Catering – Waldo, Ohio

Last weekend J.T. Michaels had the opportunity to perform back at All Occasions Catering in Waldo, Ohio. The warm, friendly staff is always welcoming at this venue and you’ll love the updated decor.

Both the ceremony and reception took place in the same room. Load-in was approximately 2:30pm. Once setup, a thorough sound check was done, all cables were secured, and we were good to go.

This year we’ve noticed a trend in brides who would like to sing a particular song to the groom, her father, or to their guests in general. That was the case with this particular wedding. The song chosen was “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. Additionally, a pianist (a family friend) was asked to play music for the ceremony, so he was wired up to our sound system.

Cocktail hour music took place at 5pm and the format was a mix between country and light rock. After dinner, a few speeches from the head table, and cutting of the cake, the formal dancing took place. It was then time for open dancing! About 100 guests were in attendance with ages ranging from 8 to 80. This meant a wide variety of music needed to be played. “Judging the crowd” is one of a DJ’s most important job duties.

The reception ended at 11pm and the bride & groom were given a proper send-off. Congratulations Anthony & Miranda! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day!
