Bradley & Melinda’s Wedding Reception

We had the privilege of providing mobile DJ services for Bradley & Melinda’s wedding yesterday. They had a smaller, intimate wedding reception with about 50 guests attending at the 4S Club in German Village. Last week they informed us the organist they hired backed out suddenly leaving them with no music for their ceremony. J.T. Michaels often provides music at wedding ceremonies (both indoor and outdoor) and was more than happy to come to their rescue which ended up being a blessing in disguise.

We were able to attend their rehearsal and meet with the bridal party and both families on Thursday to do a few run-through’s. This gave the wedding couple peace of mind and had them feeling much better about everything. The biggest advantage over an organist (or any other musician/band) is that the bride was able to choose from hundreds of different songs for her ceremony. Instead of being limited to just the sound of an organ, she could also choose wedding music like the seating of the parents/grandparents, bridal march, bridal party (processional), unity candle, recessional), with versions of the piano, strings, choir, guitar, and more).

They were married at the Freewill Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio and immediately following was their wedding reception. The newlyweds were introduced by J.T. Michaels and made their way on to the dance floor for their first dance with “I Swear”. Their guests LOVED the line dances and requested everything from Macarena, Harlem Shake, and the Wobble to Gangnam Style, Cupid Shuffle, and the Electric Slide.

After the wedding reception ended, J.T. Michaels then headed over to Hollywood Casino in Columbus, Ohio opening up for the cover band, Next Exit. They took the stage at 9pm and J.T. played in between their break sets all the way ’til 2am after the band finished playing. Both gigs yesterday were a complete success and it never gets old providing DJ entertainment to both private and public events, no matter how big or small.
